A campaign fought on the map and in the ranks

Begin as Cao Cao, Liu Bei, Lu Bu, Sun Ce or another historical ruler, or create your own. Recruit officers, provision your army and choose where to expand. When armies meet, take command of the battle or let Auto Resolve settle it. The survivors and the wounded return to the same campaign.

Choose where your house goes next

Pause the map to weigh your council's proposals. Assign an officer to lead an army or develop a settlement, trade for grain and send envoys to seek peace. As rival courts grow, decide which border you can afford to leave undefended.

The full campaign leads to a struggle for the Mandate and a coalition of courts standing against you. The free demo gives you the first 50 days.

Command the battle

Set your formations' facing, hold a line or commit your cavalry. Morale and fatigue matter, and officers steady the soldiers near their banners. Before the fighting starts, choose a stratagem from the contact report; the enemy has plans of its own.

Infantry and cavalry formations fighting under named officers' banners

Command formations through battles with thousands of soldiers. Watch your men tire, rally a broken line and decide when to send in the reserves.

Soldiers attacking a fortress while defenders pour oil onto the ram

Send a ram to the gate, ladders to the walls and archers to suppress the defenders. The garrison answers with oil and stones. In a solo campaign, you can defend a settlement your army is in.

Two officers fighting inside a ring formed by the surrounding ranks

An officer can challenge an enemy between the ranks while the battle continues around them. Champions also meet before battle, with both armies watching.

Your officers have something to ask of you

Officers ask for commands and offices, or a chance to face an old enemy. A promise has a deadline. Keeping your word builds trust; breaking it can turn those who value good faith against you.

Friends, spouses and sworn brothers steady each other's men in battle. Captured officers can be ransomed or exchanged. Deeds, wounds and rivalries follow them into their biographies and your campaign's Chronicle.

Share a campaign. Choose your own side.

Two players lead separate historical houses on one map. Begin as allies, at peace or at war. Allies can join each other's battles and command their own armies; rivals compete for the realm. Save together and continue later, or meet in a one-on-one Custom Battle.

Multiplayer testing across separate PCs and connections is ongoing.

In development

The Windows demo is available now. The full game is coming to Steam Early Access; Steam currently lists Q4 2026 as the planned release window.

October 26 · Demo update

Auto Battle now uses the battle director that controls the AI armies. Support and relief forces follow the same field doctrine, and a siege replay drift bug is fixed.

October 26 · Battle and siege AI

Spears protect threatened archers, bows fall back from infantry and the command line names visible enemy maneuvers. Siege auto-resolution has been adjusted against fought battles.

October · Court life and duels

Officers bring requests and promises into the campaign. Duels now play out in a ring between the ranks, with updated single-combat presentation.

Balance, large-battle performance and localization are still being refined. Recent player reports include severe PC slowdown after battles; that issue remains under investigation.
